Success story: Irene

From student to successful businesswoman!

Irene attended our Nyamache Life Skills Centre in 2005 and completed our Dressmaking and Tailoring course.

From there, she set up her own Dressmaking business. Going with the trends of the times, she sold her dressmaking shop and diversified into the hotel business before purchasing her first East African shop.

She now has multiple branches of her stores, which sell all the consumable goods you would need - from sweets to mattresses, flour to soap and everything in between!

We’re incredibly proud that Irene seized the opportunity she was given at Nyamache and has not only changed her life, but that of her husband, children, parents, extended family and the local community
