The Boo Golf Day 2026

Another brilliant Boo Charity Golf Day complete! This year, we returned to Barton-on-Sea Golf Club for a day of golf, friendly competition and, most importantly, fundraising for the projects we support in Kenya.

With 15 teams taking part, a two-tee start got the day underway before players headed out for 18 holes. Our complementary halfway hut kept everyone fuelled before the final push towards the clubhouse.

The Results

A huge congratulations to the Lesters Aldridge Team, who took the top spot and were crowned our 2026 Boo Golf Day champions.

  • 1st Place – Lester Aldridge Team

  • 2nd Place – Team Matthew & Matthew

  • 3rd Place – Team Samson Print

The Leon Crouch Memorial Trophy was awarded to Argyle Cunningham, our youngest ever individual winner. An incredible achievement and a very special trophy to take home.

Congratulations also to Grant Esterhuizen, from the Lester Aldridge Team, who conquered Beat the Pro on the final 18thhole, adding another exciting moment to the day.

We were also delighted to welcome Harry Gale, a talented junior member from Barton-on-Sea Golf Club. At just 15 years old, Harry impressed everyone with both his golfing ability and maturity, including his teammates – Nick Wilson, Mike Wilkins and Haydn Martin.

£10,600 raised for The Boo Charity

Our auction, raffle and ever-popular wheelbarrow of wine helped bring the day’s fundraising total to an incredible £10,600.

As a low-admin charity, funds raised through events like our Golf Day are vital. They help cover the essential day-to-day running costs of our projects in Kenya, including teachers’ wages, school meals, learning resources and operational costs.

Every team, prize donated, raffle ticket bought and bid placed played a part in reaching this fantastic total.

A Huge Thank You

Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of so many people. Thank you to everyone who played, volunteered, donated prizes and supported the day.

A special thank you to our fantastic sponsors and supporters:

  • Triple A Fire

  • Grosvenor Carpets

  • Better Coms

  • SCG Connected

  • Enhanced

  • FST

  • Original Gauge

  • Pro-Core Golf

We were also delighted to welcome Roger Wolfe and Bed Cummings from Fenz, joining us for the first time, and we’d love to thank Tom Markey for his brilliant support, entertainment and fundraising as our Beat the Pro professional. Tom made a huge contribution to the success of the day.

Finally, we’d like to recognise one of the youngest fundraisers, Ruby, who joined with her dad, George Robins and set up a wonderful stall selling handmade bracelets in aid of The Boo Charity. Thanks to Ruby’s generosity and entrepreneurial spirit, she raised an impressive £80. It was a joy to see someone so young getting involved and making such a difference.

And of course, thank you to Barton-on-Sea Golf Club for hosting us once again and helping make another fantastic day possible.

£10,600 raised. 15 teams. One brilliant day.  Until next year!
