Success story: Cecilia
Meet Cecilia - an energetic and curious little girl Simon first encountered in 2014 while visiting a baby unit, that Boo previously supported. Captivated by her spirit, Simon was determined to learn more about her story and help reunite her with her family.
After locating her mother, he discovered that Cecilia had been placed in the baby unit because her mother was already struggling to care for her many children. Despite the difficult circumstances, Simon was committed to ensuring Cecilia had the chance to grow up in a loving home.
Through the support of our long-standing friend and Kenyan coordinator, Elisha, that dream became a reality. Elisha and his family opened their home and hearts to Cecilia, welcoming her as one of their own. Today, outside of school terms, she lives with them as a cherished member of the family.
Simon continues to sponsor Cecilia’s education, ensuring she has access to stability, opportunity, and the nurturing environment she deserves. She is still the bright, lively girl he met all those years ago - only now, she is thriving in a supportive home and flourishing in her education.
Stories like Cecilia’s remind us of the profound and lasting impact Boo Charity can have. And hers is just one of many. We look forward to sharing more stories of hope, love, and opportunity made possible through our community.
