Success story: David
David has been supported by Boo Charity since infancy - from a baby unit to primary school and all the way through university.
Despite losing both his parents at a young age and facing many hardships, David has maintained an incredibly positive and determined mindset. He lost his mother when he was just eight months old and his father a few years later, leaving him and his siblings in an orphanage. Of his eight siblings, only two were able to stay with him.
Thanks to a scholarship, David completed high school with the grades needed to attend Maseno University, Kenya. His education was partly sponsored by Inspire Accountancy, an accountancy firm in Poole, and he is now looking forward to giving back to his community once fully qualified.
David graduated in December 2022 with a 2:1 in Accounting and Finance with IT, and he is now working while supporting others in his community wherever he can. His story is a testament to perseverance, gratitude, and the power of opportunity.
David shared:
“I’m very honoured to be the recipient of the scholarship from primary school through to university. I will continue to help struggling students reach their goals in higher education by assisting them in the same way you are helping me. Thank you very much for your generosity.”
We are so proud of David and grateful to all our supporters, especially Warren Munson from Inspire Accountancy, whose generosity made his journey possible.
