Sponsor a Month of Sanitary Towels for Girls in Kibera

£250.00

Help girls stay in school, stay confident, and stay safe.

In Kibera, one of Africa’s largest informal settlements, many girls miss school during their periods because their families cannot afford sanitary towels. Each missed day widens the gap in learning and increases the risk of dropout, early marriage, and reduced future opportunities.

Your £250 sponsorship provides 120 girls with a month’s supply of disposable sanitary towels and underwear. We use disposable products for hygiene and safety — most homes in Kibera do not have access to clean running water, so reusable options can increase the risk of infection.

The sanitary items are distributed by our trusted partners at KIMMTA, where girls attend empowerment sessions and can collect one full pack of sanitary towels each month.

Alongside the supplies, girls also have access to weekly empowerment classes, reaching around 100 students each month. These sessions provide guidance on menstrual health, personal safety, confidence-building, and essential life skills.

Your support protects dignity, keeps girls in school, and fuels brighter futures for the next generation of young women in Kibera.
